Safeguarding environmental integrity and promoting agriculture and socio-economic development are issues that often involve conflicting objectives. The future of environmental integrity and the conservation of natural resources depend to a large extent on identifying solutions that would reconcile these conflicts and satisfy both environmental health and human needs. Monitoring and evaluating the planning, implementation, and operation processes of development programmes is an integral component of the package of activities that yields success but which is often lacking in development programmes. We aims at encouraging participatory approaches to the development of community upliftment programmes, promoting equitable access to natural resources and promoting participatory approaches to resource management. We seek to contribute to the planning, facilitation and management of development programmes. Programme monitoring and evaluation would be key requirements for continual management improvement and project sustainability.

BUSINESS DOVELOPMENT AND CONSULTING

The Assessment of Company Operations (ACO) tool is a Seda developed diagnostic tool that is used to ascertain the appropriateness of interventions to be implemented for improvement of the business operations. It also To assist Business Advisors to make fair and consistent decisions when assessing small businesses, to provide a benchmark for progressing the client for further development, to help the Business Advisor address most of the relevant areas in assessing the business enterprise.

SOCIAL RESEARCH AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

The fundamental objective to the development of policies, programmes and projects at local, provincial, and national levels is to enhance the quality of life of the group of people concerned and to provide them with sustainable livelihood opportunities. However, the development of many policies, programmes and specific projects have proceeded without sufficient social research and due diligence to the social impacts of the policies, programmes and projects. Owing to limited consideration of social impacts, affected communities are often left with massive social and environmental problems, some of which are hardly reversible. We identifies with environment and development in the context that both should work together for the benefit of mankind. To this end the group would keenly participate in developing common interfaces between the environment and human needs. This would involve conducting social studies and surveys and assessing potential effects of development on the short and long-term needs of affected communities. Our aim is to contribute to the processes that guide policy formulation, development of social programmes, identification of sustainable livelihood opportunities, identification and assessment of social impacts and proposing tangible mitigation for planning and decision making purposes.

ASSET MANAGEMENT

The team has extensive experience in farm management, driving asset values and extracting performance from agricultural assets and offers advice to farmers, carrying out due diligence and asset valuations, acquiring, managing, restructuring and managing land portfolios. We have established strong relationships with department of rural development and land reform, agricultural industry, farmers, managers, financial institutions and Governments, but most importantly, it has developed a broad investor base with wide geographical coverage.
